The reason we have added PT5 capability is because of its ability as an interchange format

It offers far more than OMF & AAF formats and without paying an additional $500 - $700 for DigiTranslator.
For those with PT9 OMF/AAF functionality is now included.

Capability: PT OMF & PT5 export, AATranslator Import

not available = not available with this format.

no = potentially available but not implemented

** = Fades become rendered clips. So no information to pass to another Daw

Note: AATranslator supports both Clip & Timeline based automation, as do most  DAW’s Eg Reaper & Nuendo. OMF is clip based, PT timeline based. If converting OMF to PT either (but not both) types can be used by either Digi-translator or AATranslator.

After much testing we believe the above is true, if you have information to the contrary, please let us know.
